[ sometime after the announcement Reim has probably escorted Orca home to make sure he 1. found where home is 2. did not die of a magic concussion along the way. since then he has just been sitting in their common area, a little off to one side so he's not in the path of anyone walking, staring at his own hands laced and gripped together in his lap

First thing's first.
I think it would be possible to coordinate with everyone here to make sure every group is protected. However, I don't think we should.
Do you think so? I think that's only one of a number of different factors. For example, a widely disliked group could still potentially survive through bargaining.
We're not a widely disliked group, so rather than focusing our energy on our own protection, I think our primary concern should be guaranteeing that another group will be unprotected. Today has already been eventful enough, but I'm considering asking for a volunteer in the morning.
I'm less certain of that. Perhaps it's a way to ensure that there are less hard feelings about it, but... I wonder if they might worry about an expectation being set?
[Harlock listens, mulling over the conversations, his eye is bloodshot and puffy, and he nursed what seemed to have been his sixth drink and still apparently as sober as a judge]
Making and faking a protection agreement may help us for this 'game' but people will remember that - and I doubt this will be the last sort of game of this nature we'll be put through.
Until we know where and how we can get to the Warden...
[There's a low growl at the edges of his words, the feathers of his wings bristling up. Tori-San shook off the blankets it was nestled in and settled on Harlock's shoulders - the gangly bird preens the ruffled feathers]
The fact we have to consider this just shows how much control she has.

Re: day 12
In short, if attainable, the ideal solution is to guarantee that only one group lacks protection.

Yes. It's all rather bad.
Here, would you lie on your side, please?

How unfortunate, that we really must hammer home the thought that at least one group is disliked more than the rest.
