Basilisk. While the main obstacle is usually whether or not there is a chance each group could come to a complete agreement, I don’t know them very well— this means that there is a slight chance that all of them, as unknown variables, would be willing, but it also means that the chances of that are extremely low, and that it isn’t feasible for me to approach them as a stranger to make that request. Aside from Mister Alberich, who only knows one of them secondhand, I also don’t know their connections, so it would be difficult to ascertain their opinions indirectly by speaking to people more familiar with them. While none of this is necessarily insurmountable, the member of their ranks I am acquainted with, Mister Tenshouin, has a sickly constitution, and would likely have a harder time recovering than others from most potential forms of ‘punishment.’

Sphinx. I think it should go without saying, but for a number of reasons, this would not go over well. Furthermore, Sir Vincent would never allow it.

Tsuchigumo. Actually, I think there is a slight chance they might all agree, but I’m personally against it. And also, I...

... Speaking honestly, I’m being more considerate of Xerx, than Sharon, with all of this.
But even setting that aside, the chance is incredibly slight, depending strongly on how the idea is presented- I think Miss Lumine is far more likely to refuse.

Kraken. Miss Kugisaki would refuse.

Yatagarasu. Since Miss Ada is here, I simply think it’s too dangerous. Also, if... there is a matter of possession to consider... if Xerx were to lose sight of himself, I would find that more manageable. On the other hand, there is a member of this group who might have a hard time of it, whom I do not think I would be able to deal with.

Phoenix. For me, this is out of the question.

Cerberus.
Previously, I would have said about the same of them as I would of Basilisk- that I don’t know them well enough to say and am not in the position to ask, and that each unknown creates a greater likelihood of refusal regardless. But as of speaking with Mister Roy, I found out that they have significant ties to Bugbear.
So in fact, there is one other possibility— ‘ask Cerberus to take Bugbear’s place.’
The two members I am acquainted with somewhat do strike me as capable people. If they do agree, it would likely cause complications for us with Bugbear, but I don’t otherwise have reasons to be opposed.
And Elliot has to admit, there's no solution whatsoever where no one he likes gets hurt. There's at least one person on every team that he'd consider himself at least friendly acquaintances with.
More importantly, what gives him the right to choose to protect his own loved ones over anyone else's? He knows it wouldn't be reasonable or fair, but he still hates the idea of just standing by and letting them get hurt. Everything about this makes him feel cornered and frustrated, and he has no idea how he's supposed to handle it. There's a part of him that wants to say "yes, I would", no matter how selfish it would be, but he swallows that urge.]
...No... You're right. I know that, I just...
Nevermind. They can do what they want.
[He gets up, leaving his breakfast barely touched, and picks up Marshmallow to return her to his room. He's going to let Gideon bully him into early morning exercise because honestly he needs to burn off some of these emotions before he explodes two days in a row.]

But would you really prefer that?
