Tarot memory share [Bugbear]

The room you enter this time is an ostentatious fortune tellers tent. Colourful silks drape the walls with intricate golden constellations embroidered on the ceiling. Various crystals, candles, magic 8 balls, and other superstitious sundries are scattered throughout the tent.

In the centre of the room is a table with ten chairs around it, and three cards laid out for you:

MAGICIAN, HANGED MAN, TOWER

It's not for everyone. My friend Lin, the girl who I met at the end, is more of your mindset.

She did look like the type who spends more time stickin' her sword in guys than stickin' her nose in books.

She absolutely is.

Is it? I thought movies involved more explosions and improbable poses.

There are all sorts of movies! And uh, that one person kinda went up in smoke, so that counts.

I suppose. I'll have to expand my education at some point.

You've got plenty of time. How'd you guys end up in a situation like that anyway?

Lin was looking for some of her family -- her sister and her brother-in-law. She's not much for sorcery or scholarship, so she bent chance until someone arrived with the skill and inclination to help her. That someone was me.

Huh, I see! But by inclination I bet you mean you're just that good of a guy!

Wow a lot just happened huh.

It was a more dramatic arrival than I was expecting, though in truth I wasn't sure what I was expecting.

How'd it all end up?

All things considered, rather well. We slew Xiao and his apprentice, dispersed the bandit slavers who were selling him experimental subjects, and rescued Lin's sister and brother-in-law before he could use them as sacrifices to extend his life.
