The room you enter this time is an ostentatious fortune tellers tent. Colourful silks drape the walls with intricate golden constellations embroidered on the ceiling. Various crystals, candles, magic 8 balls, and other superstitious sundries are scattered throughout the tent.

In the centre of the room is a table with ten chairs around it, and three cards laid out for you:

Sooooo... Magician, Hanged Man, or Tower.

Tower is like a sudden disaster overturning everything. Usually when they show a picture of the tower, it's falling down and everyone is falling out, and that kinda thing. That actually sounds more like the third memory, I think.

The Hanged Man is stuck, so obviously he can't help himself. Being held in the balance, unable to help yourself? He's hung upside down so he's not dead, just blocked from action. Maybe that's this first one?

Magician... Eh, I dunno. There's magic in the second memory.

Mr. Vicious can use magic but, um, our discussion was mainly about accepting...things you did. He was very enthusiastic about saying he was going to shoot the king he was fighting against. A-and he complained a lot about his friend, whom he said was still caught up in trying help the people of the kingdom, even though they thought he was a villain.

...s-so yes! I think that one's the Hanged Man!

That sounds right. And I unfortunately haven't met the rest of the team, but if Mr. Vicious is the first, the second and third definitely don't sound like Mr. Momota or Mr. Ruggie. But he mentioned other teammates...a doctor named Kit and a wise person named Gaius? Would we be able to guess? Is that allowed?

Generally the rule of bonuses is that they only give you a positive modifier, not a negative one. They aren't gonna flunk us even if we get them all wrong, so we may as well guess. You think either of those people would meet a monster man trying to drain all life?

Mr. Ruggie would probably say the only thing trying to drain him would be the lack of money in his pockets...

I don't know how magic works or even knew it was something people could use s-so I can't say anything about that. But it seems as if both memories have people used to weapons, like the scythe in the last one. Maybe if we could look at the others we could guess who were more likely to be fighting a life draining monster?

That guy Estinien Varlineau has a weapon in his picture. On the other hand, Imre Sakovic is here for heresy and blasphemy, and the third memory involves a god, right? Maybe those are 2 and 3?

These phones really are very advanced! Um, if it's between the two, Mr. Varlineau is the scythe wielder. I-if that's his memory I mean... From his picture, he's familiar with longer melee weapons—

Huh. Yeah, sure. But then what are we judging on for the second memory?

I-I don't know, you're the better one at judging than I am. Especially since you did it so much in the dokkaebi egg task...

But Mr. Sakovic looks like...an academic nerd? Without the beard! And the second memory had a lot of magic but the only sword that looked like it had been used was the girl, not the one who the memory belonged to.

O-of course you're probably right and we should go by what you say!

Everyone seems pretty worthy of being judged. Makes it harder to pick which one deserves it for each specific thing.

I think we can just go with that, though.

I-I'm glad you think they're worthy?

Hmm, I just hope nobody gets upset if we pick the wrong person. Some of these make for very awkward introductions!

Um, this is only my second task, so I don't really know! B-but it's possible since it seems they like us learning more about each other so finding out someone who guessed y-your memory would count?

Ehhhhh... well, maybe they should make themselves more memorable, if we get it wrong. Kinda on them if we don't know the answer, if you think about it.

I think it means we'll also have to try to get to know more people so the next time we'll be able to guess better. There are so many magic users here I don't think I'd be able to keep track of them all!

Maybe we can come up with a phishing scheme for everyone's personal info.

Aaaaah, do you mean something like serving them fish and then when they rush off to the bathroom we look around for anything they left behind that could be a clue?

But I will try cooking fish more. I've already discovered there are some swimming in the sea that I can catch to practice on.
